Our Process
At Cary's Mill, every project, from a single custom bookcase to a full home renovation, follows the same structured design-build process.
Here's what to expect.
One

Initial Consultation
We start with a conversation about your project, your goals, and your budget. No pressure, just a clear starting point.
Design Phase
Our team works with you to develop a detailed plan, including layout, materials, finishes, fixtures, and hardware. For projects that include custom cabinetry, this is also where we design and plan the millwork alongside the construction plans.
Two

Three

Final Selections & Approval
You finalize all design details: materials, finishes, fixtures, hardware before we begin production. Locking in selections at this stage keeps your project on schedule and avoids costly changes once construction starts.
Production & Construction
Our skilled craftsmen bring your plan to life, both in our shop and on-site, staying on schedule and holding to the same quality standard whether it's framing, finish carpentry, or custom cabinetry.
Four

Five

Project Completion & Walkthrough
We walk every project with you before closeout, making sure every detail meets what was planned and approved.

Choosing all elements upfront helps everything come together as one unified design.

Last-minute adjustments often mean added cost and extended timelines.
Speeds Up Production
Once selections are locked in, we can move quickly into fabrication and installation.
